FULL TIME POSITION – SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of maintenance leadership, performs preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and utility systems. This job is performed in an open manufacturing assembly line and production facility. While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate may be subject to significant standing, walking, pushing and/or lifting, repetitive motion, and twisting/bending.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands and supports key department performance metrics (downtime, PM, and work order completion) through timely and effective maintenance actions.
- Attends the required technical training courses as part of the apprenticeship curriculum.
- Assists with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Performs basic preventative maintenance tasks under supervision.
- Learns how to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Participates in equipment moves, rebuilds, installations, and adjustments.
- Supports equipment uptime by responding to breakdowns and working alongside senior technicians to resolve issues quickly.
- Assists MRO in ordering repair and replacement parts.
- Documents work performed in Plex (Word Requests / PM’s).
- Follows all safety protocols and report unsafe conditions immediately.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be enrolled (or willing to enroll) in an NTI apprenticeship program or technical school
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial systems
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and follow instructions carefully
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and desire to learn
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Availability for rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed

HAZARDOUS WASTE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Labels satellite accumulation drums.
- Keeps satellite container in good condition.
- Transports satellite accumulation drums to hazardous waste storage area.
- Marks containers with appropriate storage date.
- Reports spill, leaks or other concerns regarding hazardous waste.
- Completes hazardous waste training including on the job and classroom training within 6 months of placement into the position.
- Completes annual hazardous waste refresher training.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- In a typical work day, the associate will be required to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours.
- The associate will be required to routinely bend/stoop/sit (more than 4 hours per day).
- The associate will be required to routinely lift and/or carry between 1-30 lbs, with a maximum of 40 lbs (more than 4 hours per day)
- The associate will be required to routinely push/pull (more than 4 hours per day)
- The associate will routinely and repetitively use right/left or both hands for simple grasping, firm grasping and fine manipulation. (more than 4 hours per day)
- The associate will be exposed periodically to dust, fumes, gases and/or chemicals (between 2-5 hours per day)
- The associate will be exposed periodically to high noise levels and will be required to wear proper protection at all times.
- The associate will spend 100% of their time working with his/her coworkers.
- The associate is routinely subject to close supervision.
