FULL TIME POSITION – SUMMARY:
Works as directed by department supervision to achieve daily production requirements. Follows procedures set forth in current Manufacturing Work Instruction (MWI) specific to the process assigned. Follows all company policies and procedures identified in associate handbook. Understand and adhere to all safety, quality and production company expectations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs specific job functions as outlined in the Manufacturing Work Instruction (MWI).
- Follows company policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate handbook.
- Upholds the 5S guidelines as set forth by the company standard.
- Follows all ISO/IATF standards that pertain to a Production Associate.
- Follows procedures established for using Plex to record production, downtime, scrap, or any other record defined by the Production Associate’s department supervision.
- Works collectively as a team to achieve work center, department or company goals.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to follow detailed instructions.
- Able to read, understand and apply work instructions.
- Understand and follow ISO/IATF standards.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Plex control panel knowledge, including loading source material, recording production, performing checksheets.
- Must be able to work overtime, possibly with short notice.
- Be able to work in a fast pace environment.
- Perform all machine/equipment checklists as defined by your department management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- In a typical work day, the associate will be required to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours.
- The associate will be required to routinely bend/stoop (more than 4 hours per day).
- The associate will be required to routinely lift and/or carry between 1-30 lbs, with a maximum of 40 lbs (more than 4 hours per day)
- The associate will be required to routinely push/pull (more than 4 hours per day)
- The associate will routinely and repetitively use right/left or both hands for simple grasping, firm grasping and fine manipulation. (more than 4 hours per day)
- The associate will be exposed periodically to dust, fumes, gases and/or chemicals (between 2-5 hours per day)
- The associate will be exposed periodically to high noise levels and will be required to wear proper protection at all times.
- The associate must wear proper uniform at all times while performing their job assignment.
- The associate will spend 100% of their time in work primarily related to the production process including, but not limited to, loading parts into a machine, inspecting parts, repairing parts, labeling parts, and transferring parts to the next process.
- The associate will spend 100% of their time working with his/her coworkers.
- The associate is routinely subject to close supervision.
- The associate will spend approximately 90% of his/her time on prescheduled activities, and approximately 10% on random activities, including but not limited to cleaning.
- The associate will spend 100% of their time meeting deadlines set by others.
- The associate is 100% responsible for his/her performance of a particular operation.
